Heating systems rarely fail at a convenient time. ClimateMakers answers emergency calls around the clock, 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays. Our regular hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 2 PM. Calls outside those hours are handled as after-hours service, which carries an additional fee. We will always tell you that fee before a technician heads your way.

Heating Repair FAQs
A heat pump runs a defrost cycle in cold, damp weather, and it can blow cool air for a few minutes while it does. That is normal. If cool air continues for longer, the cause is usually low refrigerant, a failed reversing valve, or a problem with the outdoor unit. Those need a technician.
A light layer of frost on the outdoor unit is normal, and the defrost cycle should clear it. A thick block of ice, or ice that stays for hours, means something is wrong. Turn the system to emergency heat if you have that setting and give us a call.
